All of My Dip Recipes in One Place

All of My Dip Recipes in One Place

I’m something of a dip fanatic. It’s not just that I like dips, I appreciate the zen of dipping … properly pairing dipper and dipee, the act of the dip … the spilling of the dip on my shirt … it’s all just magical. And so, because I want to be able to get to them all quickly, I am please to announce that all my dip recipes may be accessed right here.

John’s Fish Taco Sauce and dip, one cup mayo, one cup sour cream, one cup cilantro leaves, one Tbs garlic powder, one + Tbs dill weed, two Tbs cumin, one lime juiced and zest. Mix all in a food processor, chill and enjoy.

A favourite savoury dip accompaniment for me is always a crisp or fresh bread with minimal extra flavour. Pita bread torn into bite sized pieces for dip scooping, or oven dried to just before browning to support a generous dip load without breaking.
My favourite sweet dip accompaniment is pretty much always some sort of fruit, but if you treat the sweet dip as a spread then other options become very interesting .. my favourite is a slice of cold traditional Xmas pudding generously smeared with citrus brandy sauce .. it is a revelation in leftovers!

And what about, at a minimum, melizanasalata, and taramasalata, and tzatziki, and hummus and blue cheese dip, and smoked trout dip, and smashed green peas and wasabi dip? Not to mention sweet dips/spreads for fruit and cookies etc like eggnog fudge dip, and white and dark chocolate ganaches, and honey double cream dip, and citrus brandy dip.
I could obviously go on and on, but Mr Brown, I’m sure you have these recipes and others covered some where in your archives. More please.

Just made the Onion dip , for my family`s Irish corned beef extravaganza, and they devoured it ,
I have made many of Alton`s recipes , my favorite being his cocoa brownies . simply divine !!

I made the short rib queso the other weekend for a party…Amazing!! Served it with a choice of fresh bread or tortilla chips (fried in lard of course). Really great recipe.

These are all of your dip recipes? It seems like an alarmingly small amount! Maybe it’s because I’m a fellow dip lover and can think of nothing better than a dinner made entirely of different kinds of dip. Because I’m awesome.

What great timing – I was just thinking about Spinach/Artichoke dip for this weekend’s game. And I’ll also try the edamame dip.
