- 2 cups vodka
- 1/2 cup brandy
- peel of 5 oranges, with as little pith as possible
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried bitter orange peel
Specialized Hardware
Immersion circulator rig with a bath that can hold at least 5 gallons
Heavy-duty dishwashing gloves for removal (optional but nice)

ACTIVE TIME: 5 minutes

Procedure
- Assemble your immersion circulator, setting the water to 160℉.
- Put all the ingredients in a heavy-duty zip-top freezer bag and seal, removing as much air as possible.
- When the bath hits 160℉, add the bag and cook for 1 hour.
- When the cook time is almost up, fill a large bowl with ice and water. Carefully extract the bag from the bath and submerge it in the ice bath to cool for 10 minutes.
- Once cool, strain the liqueur and store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.
