Miami Mule

Refreshing Miami mule cocktail with ginger beer and lime
ACTIVE TIME: 5 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 (8-ounce) cocktail
So, obviously a tropical take on a classic Moscow Mule. Not that anything’s wrong with just vodka and ginger beer. But this version allows me to use grapefruit bitters, which are some of my very favorite bitters, period.

  • 2 fluid ounces vodka
  • 1/2 fluid ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 fluid ounce blood orange juice
  • 6 fluid ounces ginger beer, not ale
  • 4 dashes grapefruit bitters
Refreshing Miami mule cocktail with ginger beer and lime
ACTIVE TIME: 5 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 (8-ounce) cocktail

Procedure

  • Fill a highball or Collins glass with ice. Pour in the vodka, lemon juice, and blood orange juice. Top with the ginger beer and grapefruit bitters. Serve with a swizzle stick.
