AB Road Eats: San Antonio

Brown Coffee Co.: Say hello to the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had in my life. And no, I’m not saying that because of the name.

La Barranca: If you go to the Brown Coffee Kings Highway location, La Barranca is near and a must-visit. Migas happened. So did breakfast tacos and chilaquiles.

Hot Joy: Everything that is good and holy in the culinary firmament in one mouthful: their migas fried rice. I had to fight off some of my crew to actually share this with me. Next time I’m ordering my own.

Blanco BBQ is the best. Be sure to try it next time you’re in San Antonio.
What’s good? EVERYTHING. Tender ribs and brisket, great pies, and a huge chicken fried steam (literally the size of a platter).
Plus they sometimes have a band playing at lunch or dinner.

Discovered the Pearl District in San Antonio in August. Emma’s – great atmospheric bar. And Cured, for thrilling locally grown, cured & prepared meats. Always loved San Antonio. Now even more.
