Redband Coffee: I needed this caffeine badly. If they stayed open later, I would of had seconds. Great if you’re on-the-go (drive through) and pastries too.
Ross’ Restaurant: An Iowa institution that’s open 24-hours a day. It’s a must-go if you’re in the area. The staff is as friendly and as proud of their restaurant as can be. You need to order the Magic Mountain: fries, chili, cheese, ground beef, onions, etc. You’ll feel 25 pounds heavier after eating it, but it’s totally worth it. They’ll be moving locations soon … make sure to follow them.
Woodfire Grill: Thanks for feeding the Alton Brown Live crew (and me) dinner not once, but twice. I’d suggest the chicken pot pie.
Olde Towne Bakery: Crack. These petit fours are like crack. Imagine an airy angel food cake covered in the softest, sweet icing.
Chocolate Manor: Don’t forget to stop by this chocolate shop for their sea salted caramels. I wish I had bought more (they were gone the same day).
